Hamari Adhuri Kahani

Hamari Adhuri Kahani is the story of Vasudha Prasad (Vidya Balan), a single mother who works as a florist in a Mumbai hotel. Her husband Hari (Rajkummar Rao) has been missing for five years.
Vasudha meets Aarav Ruparel (Emraan Hashmi), a super-rich, globetrotting hotelier who falls for her. After a few songs and some emotional blackmailing by Aarav’s mother, Vasudha overcomes her reservations about having a relationship with a man while being married to another.
Things fall apart when Hari returns after being on the run from the law. He is far more hateful and vituperative towards his wife than before. His return puts Vasudha in a dilemma and throws her life out of gear once again.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein

It starts as the love story of a self-absorbed son of a Tamil industrialist and daughter of a Punjabi social activist. While Sreeram (Imran Khan) loves to have chicken and keeps a crab as a pet, Dia (Kareena Kapoor) is vegetarian. But soon their relationship falls apart and the story shifts to a Gujarat village, where the two have to literally build a bridge to mend fences. There is very little substance in this farcical tale, for, Punit and his team of writers are dealing with a world they know little about.

Drishyam

Vijay Salgaonkar runs a cable TV network in a remote village of Goa. He lives a happy life with his wife Nandini and two daughters. A 4th grade dropout & an orphan, Vijay has worked his way towards success with his sheer hard-work & street smartness in order to provide for his family. His wife, while she loves him devoutly, wants Vijay’s thrifty & miserly behavior to end. If there’s one thing that Vijay cannot live without, it is his passion for watching films. Such is his ‘filmy’ obsession that he doesn’t mind staying up all night at his office binging on TV movies! In a bizarre turn of events; a teenage boy goes missing; he is the son of a headstrong & no-nonsense cop; IG Meera Deshmukh and the Salgaonkar family is the prime suspect! Will a humble & middle class man, be able to protect his family from oppression of the powerful? How the family weathers the storm that ensues during the violent investigation forms the rest of the story leading to an unexpected & shocking climax.

Dosti

Mr. Gupta passes away after an accident, leaving behind his ailing wife and son, Ramnath. When they are informed that the company does not accept liability for Gupta’s death, his wife falls down the stairs and faints. When Ramnath goes to fetch a doctor, he is knocked down and run over by a speeding car, losing the use of his left leg. When he returns from hospital, he finds that his mom has passed away, and his landlord has evicted him. Penniless and hungry, he roams the streets of Bombay and befriends a blind young man, Mohan. Mohan is on the look-out for his sister, Meena, who works as a nurse in one of the hospitals and hopes to be reunited with her. Both friends befriend an ailing young girl, Manjula, and hope to get some money from her so that Ramnath can attend school. But sadly, Manjula passes away. Meena refuses to recognize Mohan as she does not wish to associate herself with a lowly beggar; while Ramnath is arrested by the police for his involvement with a group of robbers.

CityLights

CityLights is the story of Deepak Singh (Rajkumar Rao) who lives in a small village in Rajasthan with his wife and daughter. Since he finds it difficult to make, he plans to move to Mumbai. His wife hesitate about aimlessly shifting to Mumbai. Eventually both agree and moved on. Soon after reaching they are cheated by some people who pretended to help them to get a small house. They lose their monumental support when they lose 10000 Rs. which they were carrying. Deepak gets hired as driver for a security bureau. Deepak’s senior realizes he is very innocent and so does various favors for him in order to gain his trust to loot the security agency. Deepak is extremely against the theft, but then the senior blackmails him. Than Deepak agrees to the risky plan of stealing the keys for this box when suddenly they are both robbed again and the senior is killed. The movie ends when his attempt to steal the keys from the agency cost him his life but was able to pass on the key to Rakhi.

Chittagong

Set in the turbulence of the 1930s British India, a 14 year old boy, Jhunku, and his journey to find where he belongs. For the first time in Indian history, the British army is defeated by a ragtag army of schoolboys and their teacher, Masterda. Called a traitor by his peers, and let down by a man he trusts, Jhunku impulsively joins the movement. As his world is turned upside down, Jhunku is forced to confront his self-doubts. As the leaders of the movement are progressively caught or killed, Jhunku battles against seemingly insurmountable odds to win a victory of his own. The film is an exciting action-drama, made more so by the fact that it is true.

Amar Prem

Nandkishore Sharma is born in the Sharma family. His mother passes away, leaving him in the care of his father who re-marries a woman named Kamla. Kamla is not kind to Nandu, who then seeks solace with a neighbor named Pushpa. This does not auger well with Kamla, who severely beats up Nandu. Then his parents decide to move to another town, and Nandu tearfully bids farewell to Pushpa, but her love for him remains in his heart forever. Years later, Nandu has grown up, his parents have passed away, his siblings are settled independently, and he himself is married. He takes a nostalgic journey to the same town where he used to reside as a child. He asks around for a woman named Pushpa, hoping that a lot of people would remember her for her kindness and love. He is shocked to find out that Pushpa not longer lives there – and no one remembers her for her love and compassion only as a – prostitute.

Amal
