Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Badrinath Bansal (Varun Dhawan) is your gym-type boy-next-door. Slightly outspoken but mostly lovable. He belongs to a family that suffocates under his dominating father Amarnath Bansal’s (Rituraj Singh) thumb. Badrinath’s prime duty is to collect debt on behalf of his wealthy, patronizing father. His heart skips a beat in a chance encounter with Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt) at a wedding. She is an ambitious, career-oriented woman who’s nursing a broken heart. Once bitten, twice shy, she isn’t looking for a healing touch, especially from another suitor. She has a full education and is secretly training to become a flight attendant while Badri only passed the tenth grade. This leads to a clash of ideologies, despite both of them recognizing the goodness in each other.

Crook

Jai(Emraan Hashmi), a small-time crook, gets hired as a taxi-driver. He gets attracted to Suhani(Neha Sharma). With mounting racially-motivated attacks and profiling against Indian students, to which Jai actively protests. The protest results in violence and Suhani’s brother Samarth(Arjan Bajwa), is arrested. On the day of his discharge, Jai is told by a stripper, Nicole, that plans are afoot to kill Samarth, and he decides to intervene. He does succeed and even accompanies Suhani to the police station to identify her brother’s attackers. It is here, that the police will find out about Jai’s background, forcing him and Suhani to go on the run; be blamed for planting a bomb in a bar; while unknown person(s) kill several inter-racial couples.

Lakshya

Lakshya movie is about character Karan who is a lazy man, who is good for nothing. He lives on the income generated by his father and elder brother, who run the family business. All Karan does is have fun with his buddies and romance a woman named Romi. When he watches an action movie, he and his friends decide to enlist in the army, but the course proves to be too much of a bother and he abandons it half way, thus making his lose respect on the home front. Romi also stops respecting him. Now Karan decides that he must re-join the army and show to his family and Romi that he too is focused about path he has to take in this lifetime. But will he be resilient enough to carry out this task?

Kadambari

Kadambari Devi enters the Tagore household as philanderer Jyotindranath’s wife at the age of nine, only to find herself lonely and sidelined. This lays the foundations for her bond with young Rabindranath — a relationship that grows with them till others start noticing their closeness. It kind of begins and ends with Kadambari Devi (Konkona). Gyanodanandini(Titas Bhowmik) manages to depict her subtle romance with Jyotindranath and her own ego clash with Kadambari with elan. Tagore shared a good bond with his sister-in-law. In fact, there was a lot of talk regarding the relationship they shared as Kadambari committed suicide soon after his wedding.

Sarfarosh

Ajay Singh is a student pursing his studies in the Medical field. His life takes a drastic turn when he witness the assassination of his brother with his father getting gravely injured in the process by terrorists. Ajay quit his studies and takes an enrollment into the police force as Assistant Commissioner of Police with a motive of bringing the killers of his brother to justice.

Don (1978)

Don, a wanted criminal, dies in a police chase. DSP D’Silva is the only one who knows about his death, and to get hold of the gang he trains Don-look alike Vijay. But Vijay faces danger from the police and from within the gang.

Amar Prem

Nandkishore Sharma is born in the Sharma family. His mother passes away, leaving him in the care of his father who re-marries a woman named Kamla. Kamla is not kind to Nandu, who then seeks solace with a neighbor named Pushpa. This does not auger well with Kamla, who severely beats up Nandu. Then his parents decide to move to another town, and Nandu tearfully bids farewell to Pushpa, but her love for him remains in his heart forever. Years later, Nandu has grown up, his parents have passed away, his siblings are settled independently, and he himself is married. He takes a nostalgic journey to the same town where he used to reside as a child. He asks around for a woman named Pushpa, hoping that a lot of people would remember her for her kindness and love. He is shocked to find out that Pushpa not longer lives there – and no one remembers her for her love and compassion only as a – prostitute.

Dil Dhadakne Do

Dil Dhadakne Do revolves around an imbalanced Punjabi family on a cruise trip where the film is based on. Ranveer Singh is seen in a character as Kabir, who is a wealthy person by birth. Being a son of a business man, he was raised up to take up the business. But the story reverses, as he is interested in plans and aspires to became a Pilot.
Due to this difference he faces a lot many problems until he meets Farah (Anushka Sharma). She is a girl, who escaped from her home to make her dream over dance come true. She comes across Kabir, which turns his miserable life into bed of roses. Priyanka Chopra is seen as Ranvir sister. She plays an ambitious entrepreneur married to Rahul Bose when she goes on the cruise, but Farhan acts as the third angle to Priyanka-Rahul’s dysfunctional relationship.
