Pad Man

‘Padman’ aka Lakshmikant Chauhan, lives with his wife, widowed mother and two sisters in a small village. Appalled to see his new bride using grimy rags during her menstrual cycle, Chauhan decides he must find a way to make life easier for her. Sanitary napkins are expensive so he starts making his own by using cotton, plastic sheets, and soft cloth. But his experiments don’t go down too well with his wife and family, for whom talking about menstruation is taboo.

Half Girlfriend

Half Girlfriend revolves around a Bihari boy, Madhav Jha (Arjun), and a rich Delhi girl, Riya Somani (Shraddha). Students at a top Delhi college, the two bond over basketball and music. But while Madhav is smitten, Riya is only ready to be his ‘half-girlfriend.’
Half Girlfriend is the cinematic adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name.

Amu

‘Amu’ is the journey of Kajori Roy (Konkona Sen Sharma), a 21-year-old Indian American woman who has lived in the US since the age of 3. After graduating from UCLA Kaju goes to India to visit her relatives. There she meets Kabir (Ankur Khanna), a college student from an upper class family who is disdainful of Kaju’s wide-eyed wonder at discovering the “real India”. Undeterred Kaju visits the slums, crowded markets and roadside cafes of Delhi. In one slum she is struck by an odd feeling of déjà vu. Soon after she starts having nightmares. Kabir gets drawn into the mystery of why this is happening particularly when he discovers that she is adopted.
Meanwhile Kaju’s adoptive mother – Keya Roy, a single parent and civil rights activist in LA, arrives unannounced in Delhi. She is shocked to discover that Kaju has been visiting the slums. Although Kaju mistakes her mother’s response to a typical Indian over protectiveness – Keya’s fears are deeper rooted.
Slowly Kaju starts piecing together what happened to her birth parents and mother and daughter clash as Kaju discovers she has been lied to her whole life. What was the truth? Why was it suppressed? As Kaju and Kabir undertake this quest they both discover their families involvement with a man made tragedy of immense proportions which took place twenty years ago in the capital city of India: the massacre of thousands of people of the Sikh faith. In a searing climax the young people are forced to confront the reality of the past and how it affects the present

Placebo

At one of the most prestigious medical schools in India, applicants have less than 0.1 percent chance of getting accepted. Compare that with Harvard, which has an admission rate of 7 percent. So you can safely assume, as the introductory voice-over explains, that the institute is home to some of the most brilliant thinkers in the country. After witnessing an act of severe aggression among several students, filmmaker Abhay Kumar decides to investigate the increasing number of violent incidents on the university campus. For two years, he closely follows four students. He’s no fly on the wall, that’s for sure. On the contrary, the students are clearly aware of the camera, and Kumar mentions it when he realizes that his presence is undeniably influencing the microcosm he is filming. From the many hours of material, he has edited together a documentary that leaps back and forth in time, providing insight into a remarkable place where the pressure to achieve is unprecedented. Extremely high intelligence is sometimes more of a burden than a blessing, and students are often heartbreakingly lonely.

Sairat

Sairat is a love story, as advertised. Aarchi , a rich upper class girl falls for her classmate Parshya , a poor but smart boy from the lower social strata. The magic happens, and they start seeing each other. Secretly at first, but they get bolder with passing time. The problem is that Aarchi is not just from the upper class, her father is a powerful politician, and her brother Prince is following in on his footsteps. The entire affair is a recipe for trouble, and as expected, trouble arrives. With the help of Parshya’s friends, Baalya and Salya, they decide to make a run for it, but fate has other plans.

Cupid’s Arrow

Alan (Chandler Rylko) and Samantha (Najarra Townsend) fall in love and end up taking a science class taught by the creepy Professor Grimes (C. Thomas Howell). Soon Samantha is offered a coveted internship with the Professor, which she reluctantly accepts. Strangely Samantha’s affection for Alan ceases from one day to the next. Alan is devastated. Had her love for him really been true? Should he just walk away and believe that it was just life, and that he had to deal with it? His persistence leads to deadly discoveries about the science of love and the nature of the heart.

Lakshya

Lakshya movie is about character Karan who is a lazy man, who is good for nothing. He lives on the income generated by his father and elder brother, who run the family business. All Karan does is have fun with his buddies and romance a woman named Romi. When he watches an action movie, he and his friends decide to enlist in the army, but the course proves to be too much of a bother and he abandons it half way, thus making his lose respect on the home front. Romi also stops respecting him. Now Karan decides that he must re-join the army and show to his family and Romi that he too is focused about path he has to take in this lifetime. But will he be resilient enough to carry out this task?

Murder

Living in Bangkok with her husband Sudhir and the child from his first marriage to her sister, Simran feels isolated in a foreign land and ignored by her husband. A chance meeting with an old flame leads to a renewed and passionate affair until she starts to realise how badly she could be damaging her marriage. Sudhir has indeed become suspicious and hired a private detective who gives him compelling evidence of his wife’s deceit. Sudhir sets out to confront his rival.

Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se

Arun and Lily met in classroom for the first time. Arun (Sachin), the only son of a Barrister father, stood second in the exams to Lily Fernandes (Ranjeeta), a shy, simple, modest girl – the daughter of an ordinary nurse in a private nursing home. The shock of the defeat was too much for Arun, and he took up a challenge – even nursed a personal vendetta – to bring down the growing popularity of Lily in the college. Lily, however, bore no malice against him. She even tolerated all the sarcasm and nasty pranks of the close chums of Arun.

The happiness of the young lovers knew no bounds. But when everything was nicely set up for a happy ending, suddenly, Lily falls ill. Blood culture test proves the case to be Leukemia. No effort is spared to arrest the disease, and save the poor girl. But will Lily survive?
