Amar Prem
Nandkishore Sharma is born in the Sharma family. His mother passes away, leaving him in the care of his father who re-marries a woman named Kamla. Kamla is not kind to Nandu, who then seeks solace with a neighbor named Pushpa. This does not auger well with Kamla, who severely beats up Nandu. Then his parents decide to move to another town, and Nandu tearfully bids farewell to Pushpa, but her love for him remains in his heart forever. Years later, Nandu has grown up, his parents have passed away, his siblings are settled independently, and he himself is married. He takes a nostalgic journey to the same town where he used to reside as a child. He asks around for a woman named Pushpa, hoping that a lot of people would remember her for her kindness and love. He is shocked to find out that Pushpa not longer lives there – and no one remembers her for her love and compassion only as a – prostitute.

The film deals with Raju Guide (Dev Anand) encouraging the frustrated Rosie (Waheeda Rehman), a talented dancer, to step out of her destructive and confining marriage to Marco, an archeologist, and become a dancer in her own right. Rosie and Raju’s romance, blossoms. In a moment of weakness Raju forges Rosie’s signature and lands in prison. When he is released, he hesitates to return to his hometown and decides to search for his fortunes elsewhere. He ends up in a remote village temple wearing over his threadbare clothes, a saffron scarf and finds himself suddenly elevated to the position of a holy man. For Raju the play acting becomes the reality. He starts believing that this is a task assigned to him by god.
Guddu Rangeela
Guddu (Amit Sadh) and Rangeela (Arshad Warsi) are orchestra singers. They snoop around wealthy households in the area, gather information about the riches hidden in their lockers, tip off local gangsters and get paid for their services. That is the only way they can get by without getting their own hands dirty in a crime-prone terrain where you are only as good as your last heist. Not only do Guddu and Rangeela have to worry about a vicious goon and his trigger-happy henchmen, they also have the corrupt head of the local police outpost, inspector Ajay Singh (Amit Sial), snapping at their heels. While the younger and more impulsive Guddu wants to pull off a few burglaries himself and make a killing, the worldly wise Rangeela will have none of it.
