Raazi
Sehmat, an Indian Kashmiri woman, who married a Pakistani officer, as instructed by her father, during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. She carefully devised methods to get closer to the military in Pakistan, and saved millions of lives of Indian soldiers, by informing them about enemy positions, troop movements and strike blueprints across the border.
Kasoor
Shekar Saxena is arrested and charged with the murder of his wife, Priti Saxena. Shekar strongly contends that he is innocent, and that the murder was committed by someone else. His lawyer, Simran Bhargav, is sympathetic and not only believes him but also successfully defends and gets him acquitted. After his acquittal, she starts having doubts about his innocence, and must protect herself, before she becomes his next victim.
Criminal
Appalled at the way a female patient passes away after unable to afford hospital treatment, Dr. Ajay Kumar cancels his immigration to the U.S. and decides to start a charitable hospital called “Amma People’s Hospital”, that will cater for those patients who cannot afford treatment. This then attracts many with his popular acquaintances being Shweta and Sub-Inspector Ramya. Ajay then decides to get settled with Shweta – soon Ajay return home to find that a pregnant Shweta is being attacked. Ajay then attempts to overpower the attacker but unfortunately Shweta gets murdered. Shweta’s telephone call to Ramya screaming “Ajay” prompts the police to arrest Ajay at the crime scene. The case is then tried in a court of law where-by Ajay is found guilty and is sentence with the death penalty. While being transported to jail the prison van meets with an accident and Ajay manages to escape; the police then launches a man-hunt for Ajay while he wants to gather evidence to prove his innocence and bring the real criminals to justice.
Jolly LLB 2
Jagdishwar Mishra aka Jolly (Akshay) starts out as a prominent lawyer’s sidekick in Kanpur. Driven by ambition, he hoodwinks a pregnant widow, Hina Siddique (Sayani Gupta) on the lookout for justice. He lands the murder case of her husband, but when she realizes he is a fraud, she kills herself. Leaving Jolly with a guilt on his conscience and an unresolved case in his hands. Now, he wants justice more than ever.
Maroon
Maroon is about Saurabh Sharma (Kaul), a professor in Dehradun University, who stays with his wife, Roshni, a school teacher. The story starts off on the day his wife doesn’t return from work. Initially, Saurabh is in two minds on whether or not to inform the police. But he does ring up the cops after she is not traceable till late night.
The case is handled by Inspector R Negi (Saurabh Sachdeva). During his first visit at Saurabh’s bungalow, the cop finds a few things fishy. Things become more complicated for the professor when his student, Sakshi (Devyani CM) lands at his house and shows over-friendliness. Later on, a voluntary visit by a psychiatrist Dr Abhay Kumar (Suneel Sinha) adds to the mystery. Will Roshni ever be found?
Ajanabee (1974)
One night a young girl named Sonia (Yogita Bali) comes to Dinapur station and asks for a ticket to Bombay. She seems to be scared and is in a hurry but she misses her train. The station master, Rohit (Rajesh Khanna) helps her by keeping her suitcase safely with him and letting her stay in his house. He goes back to the station and on the way he remembers his past with his wife Rashmi (Zeenat Aman). He is a middle-classed young and dashing guy who is in love with wealthy and lovely Reshmi, and both decide to get married against her father, Sardarilal’s (Hari Shivdasani) wish. Shortly after their marriage, Reshmi gets pregnant. Then Reshmi enters a beauty pageant, and wins it. Now that her career is rolling, Reshmi decides that she does not want the child now, but Rohit opposes this decision. Reshmi goes back to live with her father who sends divorce papers to Rohit. Devastated, Rohit seeks employment, and finds a job as a station master at a remote hill station. He meets with Reshmi and her dad, and is humiliated because he is poor. He decides to accumulate enough money to win back Reshmi’s love, and decides to do it quickly. This decision results in his being arrested for stealing a suitcase full of jewelry and valuables, and he is also charged with killing the owner of the suitcase – Miss Sonia. Will Rohit win back the love of his life and prove his innocence?
Ghayal Once Again
Ajay Mehra (from previous Ghayal-1990), after finishing off his life sentence, starts a newspaper called Satyakam. Still dealing with the haunting trauma of losing his loved ones, Ajay manages to make a credible name for himself in investigative journalism. Working with a strange team of RTI activists, ex-criminals; and even stranger ways of unearthing and presenting the truth, Ajay Mehra has earned quite a fan following among the youths, who find his fearless and unforgiving approach in dealing with all kinds of sociopaths very inspiring. Among his die-hard fans are these four teenagers who happened to have received bravery medals from him once. These four friends once out on photography expedition, accidentally record a murder on a camera. The footage turns out to be explosive as it clearly shows two of the city’s most powerful people involved in the murder. Well, what happens after this is a series of twists and turns where the four kids get entangled and have to fight it out.
The Killer
One day a passenger called Vikram (Irrfan Khan) boards Nikhil’s (Emraan Hashmi) taxi. Vikram is suave and well dressed. He is on some secret assignment, and moves from place to place. However, Nikhil understands that something is not right when a dead body lands right on the top of his taxi. As Nikhil takes Vikram from location to location, within the city, he comes to realise that Vikram is a hired and professional killer who is eliminating his victims, one by one. Nikhil gets trapped unwillingly in this situation, and is at Vikram’s mercy. As the night progresses, and Nikhil is witness to cold blooded murders, he comes to realize that one of the targets is to be his own girlfriend, Rhea. He then prepares to fight Vikram till the very end, in order to save his love.
The Black Dahlia Haunting
LOS ANGELES, 1947 – an aspiring actress named Elizabeth Short is found brutally murdered in an empty lot in Los Angeles. The media dubs her “THE BLACK DAHLIA” due to her pen chance for dark clothing. Her murder remains unsolved to this day. Although, it’s not without its suspects.LOS ANGELES, NOW – a young woman, Holly, is visiting Los Angeles from New York City after she is informed of the brutal murder of her father and stepmother by her younger brother Tyler, who is blind. Upon meeting Tyler’s psychiatrist, Dr, Owen, Holly soon becomes aware that she is not in full possession of the facts surrounding the murder. Plagued by violent dreams, Tyler has been drawing the face of a woman he could have never possibly met, a woman identical to Elizabeth Short. As Dr. Owen continues to evaluate Tyler’s condition, he learns that Tyler “speaks” to Elizabeth, and may have ordered him to murder his parents. In essence, “hurting the ones who hurt him”. Holly soon begins seeing Elizabeth as well, culminating in Elizabeth’s spirit paying her a visit, proclaiming to Holly that she can set her free from all of her burdens. Consumed by the spirit of the Dahlia, Holly engages in a war with not only herself, but also the dark figures revealing themselves around her, encouraged by Elizabeth to “hurt the ones who hurt her”.
