Bareilly Ki Barfi

Bitti Mishra (Kriti) is a bohemian Bareilly girl who falls deeply in love with Pritam Vidrohi(Rajkummar) an author because she admires his progressive way of thinking. Finding him though proves to be as hard as looking for a needle in the haystack. So Bitti seeks the help of the local printing press-owner, Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann) on her journey of love.

CityLights

CityLights is the story of Deepak Singh (Rajkumar Rao) who lives in a small village in Rajasthan with his wife and daughter. Since he finds it difficult to make, he plans to move to Mumbai. His wife hesitate about aimlessly shifting to Mumbai. Eventually both agree and moved on. Soon after reaching they are cheated by some people who pretended to help them to get a small house. They lose their monumental support when they lose 10000 Rs. which they were carrying. Deepak gets hired as driver for a security bureau. Deepak’s senior realizes he is very innocent and so does various favors for him in order to gain his trust to loot the security agency. Deepak is extremely against the theft, but then the senior blackmails him. Than Deepak agrees to the risky plan of stealing the keys for this box when suddenly they are both robbed again and the senior is killed. The movie ends when his attempt to steal the keys from the agency cost him his life but was able to pass on the key to Rakhi.

Shahid

Shahid traces the true story of slain human rights activist and lawyer Shahid Azmi. From attempting to become a terrorist to being wrongly imprisoned under a draconian anti-terrorism law to becoming a criminal lawyer Shahid traces the inspiring personal journey of a boy who became an unlikely messiah for human rights while following the rise of communal violence in India. This story of an impoverished Muslim struggling to come to terms with injustice, inequality and rising above his circumstances is an inspiring testament to the human spirit.

Queen (2014)

Rani (Kangana Ranaut) is a 24-year-old Punjabi girl living in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. She is from a very conservative family and her brother escorts her everywhere to ensure she’s safe. Two days before her marriage, her fiance Vijay (Rajkummar Rao) meets her in a local cafe to tell her that he no longer wants to marry her. He explains that he’s changed and she would not fit into his new lifestyle. Rani is shocked and shuts herself in her room for a day. She decides to take control of her life and plans to go alone on her pre-booked honeymoon to visit Paris, her favorite place and Vijay’s favourite place, Amsterdam.

After initially hesitating, her parents agree to the trip and Rani takes off. In Paris, she meets Vijayalakshmi who becomes her friend and confidante and shows her around Paris. The two have a series of adventures. Eventually the time comes for her to bid an emotional farewell to Vijayalakshmi and board the train for Amsterdam. However, when she arrives in Amsterdam, she finds to her horror that her hostel room is booked with three guys (Taka, Timy and Oleksander). Soon, the four become good friends and explore the city. She learns more about her friends’ backgrounds and begins to understand how different life can be for people in other parts of the world.
