Criminal

Appalled at the way a female patient passes away after unable to afford hospital treatment, Dr. Ajay Kumar cancels his immigration to the U.S. and decides to start a charitable hospital called “Amma People’s Hospital”, that will cater for those patients who cannot afford treatment. This then attracts many with his popular acquaintances being Shweta and Sub-Inspector Ramya. Ajay then decides to get settled with Shweta – soon Ajay return home to find that a pregnant Shweta is being attacked. Ajay then attempts to overpower the attacker but unfortunately Shweta gets murdered. Shweta’s telephone call to Ramya screaming “Ajay” prompts the police to arrest Ajay at the crime scene. The case is then tried in a court of law where-by Ajay is found guilty and is sentence with the death penalty. While being transported to jail the prison van meets with an accident and Ajay manages to escape; the police then launches a man-hunt for Ajay while he wants to gather evidence to prove his innocence and bring the real criminals to justice.

Beyond All Boundaries

As India, host of the 2011 World Cup of Cricket, begins its campaign to win the Cup after a 28-year drought, three ordinary Indians seek their salvation/escape from a difficult life through their passion for cricket – Sudhir, a penniless superfan who cycles across India to cheer the team; Prithvi, a 12-year old boy wonder who is a cricket prodigy; and Akshaya, a girl cricketer from Mumbai’s slums. We follow Sudhir to see what drives the man who has renounced so much, including marriage, for his dream of cheering Team India forever; Akshaya as she competes in the trials for selection to the Mumbai Women’s Team, and Prithvi as he copes with the unique pressures of being a cricket phenom in a cricket-crazy nation.

Woh Lamhe

Sana Azim used to live in Junagadh with her widowed mom, and was discovered by Nikhil Rai, who introduced her to Bollywood’s tinsel screen – and thence there was no looking back for this actress. She lived with Nikhil – albeit in a strange relationship – as he ordered her around, controlled, and even physically abused her. When Journalist/Film-maker Aditya Garewal wrote about Sana he described her in very unflattering terms, angering her, leading to a well-publicized confrontation – which was merely a ploy used by Aditya in order to compel Sana to act in his movie – a ploy which was successful. Both started working together and were drawn to each other – a closeness that will draw Aditya in to Sana’s dark and unstable world, a world where Sana is now controlled by a woman named Rani, who has made her believe that Aditya is going to kill her – and the only way to deal with this threat – is to kill Aditya first.

Raaz

Sanjana Dhanraj feels neglected by her husband Aditya, a wealthy businessman. After taking too many sleeping pills, she has a car crash. The two of them decide to go away together so that she can recover and to take time to rekindle their relationship. She insists that they go to their house in Ooty. But once there she believes that she can hear the screams of a girl, even though nobody else can. Aditya thinks she might be going crazy. She and her friend Priya consult an expert and come to believe that a malevolent spirit is haunting the house. But as the hauntings become more malicious, Sanjana comes to the realization that Aditya is hiding a secret, which he must reveal at the earliest possible time or the couple shall live with this fear all there life.

Shirin in Love

Love has no borders and therein lies the premise of the charming, new Iranian-American romantic comedy “Shirin in Love.” Nazanin Boniadi plays Shirin, an absent-minded, young Iranian-American living in “Tehrangeles” (the large Iranian community in Los Angeles) with her overbearing mother and empathetic father. Despite being engaged for years to a successful Iranian plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, Shirin finds herself breaking loyalty and tradition when she falls in love with a mysterious young man who lives in a lighthouse in northern California. As her secret unravels and cultures clash, Shirin discovers what it ultimately means to be true to herself.
